HINDRY HOUSE, PASADENA

The California Preservation Foundation honored the Hindry House Cultural Landscape Report and Landscape Rehabilitation Project with a 2018 Design Preservation Award for the successful implementation of the CLR on a historically significant garden and cultural landscape. The City of Pasadena awarded LGLA a 2018 Historic Preservation Award for successfully restoring and rehabilitating the landscape for this historic Craftsman home, bringing cohesion to two periods of historical significance and providing contemporary uses that are respectful to the context. Additionally, LGLA was presented with the 2018 American Society of Landscape Architects, Southern California Chapter Merit Award for Preservation.

LGLA was recognized with the Editors' Pick in the Outdoor Oasis Category for the 2018 HGTV Ultimate Outdoor Awards. LGLA received the 2016 American Society of Landscape Architects, Southern California Chapter Honor Award in acknowledgment of the thoughtful design for this small space, which provides for multiple functions and incorporates custom features.

LGLA is proud to be have been a part of the restoration team for this unique Richard Neutra-designed residence, recognized by the Los Angeles Conservancy and the California Preservation Foundation, and acknowledged with a Docomomo 2015 Award of Excellence. Additionally, LGLA was recognized with the 2016 American Society of Landscape Architects, Southern California Chapter Merit Award for the landscape design.
