VIRGINIA PUBLIC SAFETY MEMORIAL

LGLA and sculptor Yoshikawa have been awarded the commission to design the Public Safety Memorial for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The ninety foot long memorial sculpture describes the hero’s journey and honors those who have given their lives in service. The memorial includes two fountains and a meditation garden. This design was selected in an open public competition with more than 60 entrants, and received the unanimous support of the jury.
