HILLSIDE RETREAT

A mature eucalyptus grove provides a serene setting for an airy contemporary house designed by Mills Studio. Stepped terraces were created to provide generous entertainment and dining spaces. A pool, spa, and cascade anchor the terraces, encouraging movement through the garden to the hillside. Sculptures by Guy Dill provide focal points at the pool terrace and entry gardens. Bold groupings of tree ferns and perennials were used to create flowing bands of color that complement the grey-green of the surrounding landscape.
